AMREF Headquarters AMREF is Africa's largest indigenous health charity that has been conducting research activities with local communities, governments and donors to alleviate Africa's health problems for 45 years. AMREF's activities are divided into five programme areas which reflect the health priorities of the communities it works with: child and adolescent health and development, sexual and reproductive health, clinical services and emergency response, health policy and systems reforms, and environmental health. Details of the projects and activities under these five programme areas can be found on this website.There is a comprehensive bibliography of published/unpublished documents, research and abstracts of verbal presentations, dated between 1957-1999, revised by AMREF Mahler library staff.
