P.O. Box 13950 FHI is a non-profit organisation working to improve reproductive and family health around the world through bio-medical and social science research, innovative health service delivery interventions, and training and information programmes. It works in partnership with universities, ministries of health and non-governmental organisations, conducting on-going projects in the U.S. and more than 40 developing countries. FHI works to improve the safety, efficacy and acceptability of family planning methods and the quality and accessibility of reproductive health services, strengthens programmes in developing countries to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases and improve care for people with HIV/AIDS. It also works at preventing HIV/AIDS and improving the reproductive health of youths of 10-24 years old through the YouthNet programme. In addition, FHI offers a variety of services in women's health and infectious diseases, including clinical research design and management. Further information on FHI's regional and country programmes, as well as country-specific publications can be found on this website. The materials on this website are very comprehensive. Many books and reports published by FHI are available on this website as full-text documents. These include books and reports on HIV/AIDS, FP/RH and gender issues, on-line training materials as well as summaries of RH research studies. Limited quantities of other materials are available in print for developing country health professionals. In addition, one can find a bibliographic database with searchable indices of more than a thousand scientific journal articles by FHI researchers on this website.
