UNAIDS leads, strengthens and supports an expanded response aimed at preventing the transmission of HIV, providing care and support, reducing the vulnerability of individuals and communities to HIV/AIDS, and alleviating the impact of the epidemic.

There are extensive HIV/AIDS information and data on this website. These include epidemiological documents and reports by subject, global HIV/AIDS surveillance by country, epidemiological software, FAQ, a report on the status and trends of HIV/AIDS/STI epidemics in Asia and the Pacific, etc.

In addition, UNAIDS has published an extensive range of materials on a variety of topics related to HIV/AIDS. Some of the most recent publications from others working in the field of HIV/AIDS are also available.

  1. Bibliographic database - A bibliographic database of HIV/AIDS-related titles published by UNAIDS and other UN organisations is retrievable by title, author, keyword, ISBN, topic, language, country and global area.
  2. Best Practice Collection - A collection of publications that draw on practical experience from countries around the world, and document effective approaches, policies, strategies and technologies identified as "best practice" by UNAIDS or its co-sponsors.
