OMCT International Secretariat OMCT is an international coalition of NGOs fighting against torture, summary executions, forced disappearances and all other forms of cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment in order to preserve Human Rights. Activities of OMCT include appeals programme, assistance to victims of torture, children's rights programme, development and economic, social and cultural rights, observatory for the protection of human rights defenders, police and human rights, racism programme, and women's programme, all of which are explained on the website. Violence against women (VAW) is a major issue under the women's programme. A list of publications such as articles regarding VAW, reports on the elimination of discrimination against women 1999, reports published following committees on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women since 1998, is available on-line. Some of the publications/reports are available in English, French or Spanish. |
